Working left to right on the edge of the fabric, complete the desired number of Antwerp Edge stitches to form the base of the picot. Add one Buttonhole stitch. |
Working right to left, make one Buttonhole stitch over the thread between each Antwerp Edge stitch knot. |

Continue alternating the direction of work with each row and decreasing the number of Buttonhole stitches by one on each row until only one loop remains. |
On the right edge of the picot, weave back to the edge of the fabric. Knot the Buttonhole stitch (added in Step 1) thereby completing the Antwerp Edge. |
