Note: This stitch is used to join finished edges.

From the fold of the first edge bring the needle out at A. Go under the edge of the fabric and bring the needle to the face at B to the right of A. |
Twist the working thread AB clockwise into a loop slipping the needle into the loop from the back. Pull the needle through the loop tightening it to form a knot at the edge of the fabric. |

Carry the thread under the second edge and bring the needle to the face at C. |
Twist the carried thread counterclockwise into a loop. Slip the needle through the loop from the back tightening the loop to form a knot at the second edge. |

Take the needle under the first edge and bring the needle to the surface at D to the right of B. Twist the carried thread into a loop as in Step 2. Slip the needle through the loop from the back and tighten the knot. |
Carry the thread under the second edge and bring the needle up at E to the right of C. Continue working back and forth between the two edges following Steps 3 to 6 to the end of the row. |
