This stitch consists of a Buttonhole stitch on each side of the center line followed by a Straight Feather stitch on each side of the center line.

Work from the top down. Bring the needle up at A, go in at B, and come up at C. Keep the working thread under the needle.

Go in at D and up at E. DE is the same length as CB. Keep the working thread under the needle.

Go in at F directly below B and up at G. FG is the same length as CE. Keep the working thread under the needle.

Go in at H directly across from G, and come up at I. HI is the same length as FG. Keep the working thread under the needle.

Go in a J opposite I, and come up at K. JK is the same length as DE. Keep the working thread under the needle.

Repeat Steps 2 through 5.
