1. Come up at A in the fold of the hem. 2. Work the Buttonhole Edge stitch from right to left. 3. To make a picot, work a Buttonhole stitch but do not pull it tightly. 4. Place a pin into the fold of the fabric at B and come out at C. Loop the working thread from right to left under the pin. Weave (right to left) starting over the thread from the previous Buttonhole stitch and alternating across the loops and pin. Gently snug up the thread and remove the pin. 5. Proceed with the Buttonhole Edge stitch to the position of the next picot. Repeat Steps 3 and 4. |
