Come up at A in the lower edge to be joined. Go in at B and come up at C in the upper edge to be joined.

Go in again at B and come up at D, which is one thread above C.

Go in at E, which is one thread above B and opposite D. Then come up at C.

On the lower edge, go in at F and come out at G, which is directly under B and opposite A. FG is the same length as BC.

Go in again at F and come out at H, which is one thread below G.

Go in at I, one thread below F, and come up at G. Repeat Steps 1 through 6.

To begin the repeat, go in at J on the upper edge and come out at K. KJ is the same length as DE.
